Registration for 2009 -2010 has begun. TLC Fall Registration 2009-2010 Packets can be downloaded from our Forms page.There are three different deadlines for registration, so please be sure to apply by the correct date.

Fall 2009-2010 Registration Schedule

Group A: March 2 – March 13 Returning TLC Families and Siblings Only

Group B: March 16 – March 31 New Enrollees - Full-time: 5 days a week Group A registrations received after March 13th

Group C: April 1 – April 17 Open Enrollment Full-time: 5 days a week and Part-time: less than 5 days a week All registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis by group.

TLC Kindergarten is intended for children who are currently enrolled in Trumbull Public School Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten program closely follows Trumbull's Board of Education framework and district curriculum. In addition, we customize each TLC Kindergarten program to meet the needs of your child's classroom. Our Kindergarten Directors work as a team with you and your child's teacher to ensure your child's success in our program.

TLC's Kindergarten Program has much more to offer your child than a traditional daycare:

designated space in each elementary school building just for TLC program safe and convenient locations highly qualified Site Directors (each has at least 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education) small group instruction & activities development of social, emotional, and academic skills communication with your child's classroom teacher staff with experience in public education First Aid/CPR certified staff at each location and much more!

TLC Kindergarten Philosophy
TLC's Kindergarten philosophy focuses on the development of social, emotional, and academic skills learned through creative hands-on activities in a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment. We never forget that the best and most productive way to learn is through PLAY!

Your child will have daily opportunities to learn from:

• role playing with other children and their teachers
• art and craft activities that teach skills like math, eye and hand coordination, and empowerment
• story time and imaginative discussions about the stories we read together
• playing outside which teaches social skills like making friends and understanding others
• circle time where children learn to speak in front of others and express their opinions

Kindergarten Daily Schedule
Parents can opt for a 2, 3, or 5-day schedule that goes from 7 AM to 6 PM. TLC AM Kindergarten starts at 8:30 and ends at 11:50. TLC PM Kindergarten starts at 12:00 and ends at 3:20. Before and after care options are also available when you register your child. Transfer of your child between their regular classroom and TLC Kindergarten is supervised in partnership with your child's school to ensure their safety at all times.
