Our summer camps are very popular and enrollment is on a first come first served basis. Camp TLC fills up quickly so please review the registration schedule below. TLC Camp 2010 begins on June 28th and is subject to change according to the Board of Education official school closing date. Registration packets can be downloaded from our Forms Page.

CAMP CHOICES
TLC's camp choices are specifically designed to meet the needs of your child's age: Camp TLC K-3 (K to 3rd), TLC Fun Zone Camp at Tashua (4th & 5th grades), TLC Big Kids Camp at Tashua (6th to 8th grade), and TLC Pre-School Camp (3-5 year olds who have not completed Kindergarten). Afternoon Explorers Camp is available only to children (K to 5th grade) attending the Summer Explorations program at Frenchtown and begins Tuesday, July 6th.

Parents can choose from a full-time 5 day program or a part-time 2, 3, or 4 day program.

Camp TLC K-3 (K to 3rd)
Activities are specially designed for this age group and each center is supervised by an experienced Site Director. Creative arts and crafts, group games, various active sports and water activities with sprinklers are the kinds of activities planned for your young children in addition to field trips. Children may bring bicycles, roller skates and roller blades for their personal use. (Children will be required to wear all necessary safety equipment, including helmets and kneepads, at all times when cycling or skating.) The following locations will be K – 3 Camps:

• Frenchtown
• Jane Ryan
• Middlebrook

TLC Fun Zone Camp at Tashua (4th & 5th grades)
Older grade school children are offered a greater range of physical, craft and field trip activities specifically designed for them. Three times a week your child will enjoy a field trip to the town pool or local lake or pond and offs-site trips twice a week. Where appropriate, Fun Zone and Big Kids might come together to participate in activities or field trips. TLC Fun Zone Camp camp is held at Tashua School at 410 Stonehouse Road.

TLC Big Kids Camp at Tashua (children who completed 6th - 8th grades)
Each week includes creative arts and crafts, group games, various active sports and water activities. Campers interested in photography and computers are recruited to work on a TLC Camp Slide Show. Children may bring in bicycles, roller skates and roller blades for their personal use. Children will be required to wear all necessary safety equipment, including helmets and kneepads, at all times when cycling or skating. Your child can look forward to a water destination trip three times a week and off-site field trips twice a week. TLC Big Kids Camp is held at Tashua School at 410 Stonehouse Road.

Afternoon Explorers Camp
TLC’s Afternoon Explorers Camp is offered in conjunction with the Summer Explorations program operated by the Trumbull Board of Education. Both of these camps begin Tuesday, July 6th. The Summer Explorations program offers children a wide range of morning programs at Frenchtown Elementary School from 9 am to 12 noon. TLC Afternoon Explorer Camp hours are from 12 noon - 6 pm each day. Based on availability, we may be able to provide care starting at 7 am. Please contact the TLC office if you require this additional service. Afternoon Explorers Camp is available only to children (K to 5th grade) attending the Summer Explorations program at Frenchtown.

Wednesday is field trip day! All field trip costs are included in the program fees. Each child must have a permission slip for every field trip and must wear their camp T-shirt on each field trip day. Prior to the start of camp you will receive a detailed package listing all scheduled field trips.
