CAMP CHOICES
TLC's camp choices are specifically designed to meet the needs of your child's age: Camp TLC K-3 (K to 3rd), TLC Daniels Farm Camp and Jane Ryan Camp (4th & 5th grades), TLC Fun Zone Camp (6th to 8th grade), and TLC Pre-School Camp (3-5 year olds who have not completed Kindergarten). Afternoon Explorers Camp is offered to children (K to 5th grade) attending Summer Explorations.

Parents can choose from a full-time 5 day program or a part-time 2, 3, or 4 day program. Our summer camps are very popular CAMP TLC Peguin Mascot and enrollment is on a first come first served basis. TLC Camp typically begins by the end of June, but is subject to change according to the Board of Education official school closing date.

The following information is for Camp TLC 2011 and will give parents and children a
good idea of what to expect for Camp TLC 2012.

Camp TLC K-3 (K to 3rd)
Activities are specially designed for this age group and each center is supervised by an experienced Site Director. Creative arts and crafts, group games, various active sports and water activities with sprinklers are the kinds of activities planned for your young children in addition to field trips. On Tuesdays campers can look forward to a non-water field trip and Thursdays they will have water based field trips.

Children may bring bicycles, roller skates and roller blades for their personal use. (Children will be required to wear all necessary safety equipment, including helmets and kneepads, at all times when cycling or skating.)

TLC Daniels Farm Camp and Jane Ryan Camp (4th & 5th grades)
Older grade school children are offered a greater range of physical, craft and field trip activities specifically designed for them. Three times a week your child will enjoy a field trip to the town pool and off-site trips will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Where appropriate, Daniels Farm Camp, Jane Ryan Camp and Big Kids Camp might come together to participate in activities or field trips. TLC Daniels Farm Camp and Jane Ryan Camp locations are assigned by TLC and based on enrollment. Parents can send a written request as to which 4-5 grade camp location they wish their children to attend.

TLC Fun Zone Camp (children who completed 6th - 8th grades)
Each week includes creative arts and crafts, group games, various active sports and water activities. Campers interested in photography and computers are recruited to work on a TLC Camp Slide Show. Children may bring in bicycles, roller skates and roller blades for their personal use. Children will be required to wear all necessary safety equipment, including helmets and kneepads, at all times when cycling or skating. Your child can look forward to a water destination trip three times a week and off-site field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays. TLC Fun Zone Camp is held at TLC Fun Zone.

Afternoon Explorers Camp
TLC’s Afternoon Explorers Camp is offered in conjunction with the Summer Explorations program operated by the Trumbull Board of Education. Both of these camps begin Tuesday, July 5th. The Summer Explorations program offers children a wide range of morning programs at Frenchtown Elementary School from 9 am to 12 noon. TLC Afternoon Explorer Camp hours are from 12 noon - 6 pm each day. Based on availability, we may be able to provide care starting at 7 am. Please contact the TLC office if you require this additional service. Afternoon Explorers Camp is available only to children (K to 5th grade) attending the Summer Explorations program at Frenchtown. Wednesdays are field trip days!

FIELD TRIPS & ACTIVITIES
Lots of field trips and activities are scheduled for TLC's campers. Our Camp TLC Field Trips page shows the 2011 schedule, so please take a look to see the places campers might visit in 2012. Field trips are typically scheduled on the same day(s) of the week so that you know when trips will be happening. We know that children love to be outside so we take our campers to the beach or a pool at least twice a week. TLC Pre-School Camp field trips 2011 can be found on the Pre-School Camp page.

All campers will have a variety of daily of activities to choose from: creative arts and crafts, group games, various active sports, water activities, sprinklers, and water hoses. Children may bring their bicycles, roller skates, and roller blades to camp. Safety equipment is required - specifically helmets and kneepads which must be worn at all times when cycling or skating.

Family Fun! TLC knows how to host a great family party and all of our campers and their families are invited. This celebration is usually held during the last week of camp in August. This has been a great way for parents to meet their children's friends and other TLC parents while playing games and sharing great food in a festive atmosphere.
